Kids
SR Kids offers fun and engaging ways for children up through 6th grade to learn solid Bible teaching while also developing relationships with each other and their leaders. We are passionate about creating environments that enable children to see God at work and how they can serve Him.
Students
Our mission is for students to Experience Belonging, Embrace God’s Grace, and Extend God’s Love. This happens through the transforming work of the Holy Spirit and by providing meaningful opportunities for students to connect with God, other students, and leaders.
What To Expect On Campus
- We offer two identical worship services in our Auditorium each Sunday at 9:00am and 10:45am. Each service lasts approximately 75 minutes.
- Other ministry offerings (SR Kids, SR Students, and SR Groups) will take place on Sunday mornings, as well as at various times throughout the week. Additional information about these ministries can be found below and on the individual ministry pages.
We’d love to have you drop by the Welcome Center on our campus after a service so we can greet you personally and hear a little bit of your story. The Welcome Center (located in the lobby) is the place to to ask questions and find out more about our ministries and any upcoming events at South Ridge. You can also fill out our New Here Card so we can get to know you better.
SR Kids Nursery (children birth-18 months) is offered at both the 9:00am and 10:45am services during the ministry year (Sept-June). During the months of July and August, it is only offered during the 9AM service.
SR Kids (toddlers – 6th grade) is offered during the 9:00am service and currently offered at 10:45am for toddlers-kindergarten.
Check-in stations are available at the Nursery, in the preschool wing (lower level), and in the Activity Center.
Crossover is our Sunday morning gathering open to students in grades 7 -12. It meets in the Student Center during the 9:00 service. Crossover will address hard topics and questions, and explore how a Biblical worldview shapes our everyday lives. Student interaction and conversation will be encouraged as we wrestle through some challenging topics students face.
The Ridge is our Sunday evening gathering open to students in grades 7-12. It meets on the South Ridge campus weekly from 6-8 pm. Students will have opportunities to worship, hear Biblical teaching, share in Life Groups, and participate in structured community activities. The Ridge meets during the school year.
SR Groups are offered both on campus on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings, as well as off campus and virtually throughout the week.
Current Message Series: Exodus
The 2nd book in the Bible – the book of Exodus – provides an account of God bringing about the release of the fledgling nation of Israel from slavery in Egypt. It would be through Israel that the ultimate Messiah, Jesus, would come, and Israel’s release from the bondage of Egyptian slavery would prefigure God’s work of bringing about the release of humanity’s bondage in sin. Far from being neat, clean and tidy, Isael’s release from Egyptian bondage has peaks and valleys, highlights and lowlights. Similarly, God’s purposes are achieved and His faithfulness is demonstrated even as He releases us from the bondage of sin. In the messy reality we can trust that He is at work even in the most unlikely circumstances.
